Pretend play is where children make sense of the world — and the right toys make all the difference. Our Dolls, Role Play & Pretend Play collection brings together beautifully made imaginative play toys for children from around 18 months to 6 years: wooden play kitchens, dolls and accessories, dress-up sets, tool kits, and role play pieces that spark storytelling, creativity, and social development.
We stock pretend play toys from PlanToys, Tender Leaf Toys, Bigjigs, and Melissa & Doug — some of the most respected names in eco-friendly wooden toys in the UK. From a wooden play kitchen built to last years to children's dolls with thoughtfully designed accessories, every piece earns its place through genuine, open-ended play value.
Looking for role play toys for children who love to cook, build, or care for things? Birthday gifts for boys or girls with big imaginations? Wooden dolls, play food sets, and pretend play toys are some of the most-loved gifts we stock — played with far longer than parents expect. Eco-friendly, plastic-free where possible, and designed to grow alongside a child's imagination.
Browse online or visit us in Southsea — we always have our current favourites on the shop floor.
