On the last blog, I talked about what mindfulness is; being aware of what we do when we do it. We don’t need to find extra time in our already busy days to practice mindfulness, if you can be aware of the feeling of weight of a hairbrush in your hands then you are already practicing meditation. To help you learn this and to help you develop your own mindfulness practice from this blog and continuing on, we will be offering you tips to build-your-mindfulness-practice. So keep reading, and at the end of each blog there will be a little actionable step for you to consider and to hopefully take.
I LOVE this super simple Vegan Banana Berry Muffins recipe from The Teen's Vegetarian Cookbook. My little one was a little skeptical at first, but once he found a tangy berry in the mix, he was sold! You can also substitute other fruit for the berries, such as chopped peaches, apples, or dried apricots.
I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day! Although Valentine’s Day may have become a very commercial affair I think it is a beautiful opportunity to check in with ourselves and see how much love we are showing ourselves. It can sometimes feel easier to show love to those around us so what would it be like if you were to show yourself that same love? Is there something you could do for yourself today that you would encourage your kids to do to each other? Just something to think about before we dive into all things mindfulness!
